“We know it’s a process. The NBPA will be in communication with the NBA to make things better” – Perkins

“I’ve talked to a couple of agents who have been preparing their players to go down there and it’s all about putting yourself in a mental space to be able to perform for three months no matter what the elements that come your way” – McMenamin

Reports: Kawhi Leonard delays travel to Orlando (Family Matter), per ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk (first reported by Yahoo! Sports)

Nuggets GM on Jokic absence: Not “Concerned at all”

Should Nuggets be concerned by Jokic’s delayed entry to Orlando?

“When the NBA schedule came out and we saw that they’re going to be playing these games in late July, when they were coming to the decision to play them in early June, we’re like, ‘what’s the delay?’ The delay is Murphy’s Law: what can go wrong will go wrong. The fact now that we have this extra time baked into the schedule is a wonderful thing for things that pop up. I don’t think there’s any concern. This was prescient by the NBA schedule makers to build in this time to allow for unforeseen events” – McMenamin

“Not at all. I’m just waiting on him to arrive. He’s everything to the Nuggets and he is in great shape” – Perkins

“The one thing I’m concerned about with every player that’s tested positive for COVID that’s coming into the bubble, I just want to make sure that when they’re clear, they’re healthy, there are no long-lasting health effects there because we don’t quite know what this disease does long-term to internal organs to things like stamina, to respiratory issues moving forward That’s the one thing I would keep an eye on with Jokic. Does he look winded? Does he look tired or can he get right back into the flow of things?” – Elhassan

Continuing the countdown to the restart of the NBA season:

#22: Zach LaVine’s game-winning 3 Hornets!

#21: LeBron James no-look dish to Dwight Howard!

Sources: Nets reach deal with Jamal Crawford

Last played on 4/9/2019 when he scored 51 points with the Phoenix Suns!

In honor of his return to the NBA, time to look back at some of the best plays of his career! Let’s…

Top JCrossover plays

2013: Hesi on Wesley Matthews
2009: Puts Ronnie Price on skates
2005: Self oop vs Celtics
2006: Game-winner in Denver
2008: Shake-and-bake in Chicago

At age 40, can Crawford make a difference for the Nets?

“Yes. What took so damn long for somebody to sign this man? You can drop him anywhere in America and he’s gonna get buckets. He’s a walking bucket and I’m pretty sure he’s going to make the best of this opportunity” – Perkins

“The biggest thing for me is: He’s been a mentor to so many guys throughout this league over the last decade and a half. This is an example of treat the game well and it will treat you well. He will be a positive force added to the guys that they do have healthy” – McMenamin

Joel Embiid: Offense “Should go through me”

“This is a conversation that needs to be held behind closed doors. The world doesn’t need to know this. What if it’s not Embiid’s night? Then he has to find another way to be assertive and affect the game in other areas. This is a conversation that needs to be held with Brett Brown” – Perkins

“If he’s used these 4 months to get his body right, perhaps this is where this extra gusto is coming from. It seems he’s throwing some gasoline on the fire which is kind of unnecessary in this situation” – McMenamin

“Earlier this season, when he was asked what’s the problem with the play calling. He said the play calling is fine. To me, that’s a hint his teammates aren’t doing a good enough job of executing and getting him the ball. That’s something to keep an eye” – Elhassan

Masking instruction?
Adjustments working with mask-wearing coach?

Pelicans head coach, Alvin Gentry, Rockets head coach, Mike D’Antoni and Spurs head coach, Gregg Popovich are in the Orlando bubble. While head coaches can be mask free during practices and games, D’Antoni said he won’t be without a face covering

“They have to remind themselves of the rules that they have in place for the bubble” – McMenamin

Added urgency for Lakers to win title in Orlando?

With the addition of JR Smith, the Lakers now have seven players with at least 10 years of experience

“Absolutely. They’re all looking at this as, ‘this could be our last best chance to win a championship in our careers'” – McMenamin

“LeBron and AD are the best duo in basketball right now. I got full confidence in them. I can just imagine Smith and Danny Green  on the court together and the spacing and how wide open that lane is going to be for LeBron and AD going down to the attacking the basket” – Perkins

“Every day is a gift and you got to take advantage of it. You can’t take it for granted and just assume you’ll be fine next year” – Elhassan
